Firstly can I just say how beautiful is this box?! This particular box is part of their limited edition designs, with December being the last with this particular gold print. Definitely getting one of those! I'm aware it's December already i'm just the master of procrastinating in winter arghhh sorry...
At the beginning of October I was contacted from the Prairie Charms team and asked if I would like to join their curators design team. I'm fairly new to the blogging world so I was shocked when I heard from them but they were very reassuring, and explained how they want to work with all types of bloggers, which is a lovely idea as most brands forget about us small blogs.
I feel like i'm constantly on the hunt for a hair mask that is going to wow me, and give me that luxury feeling you get after you have a really good haircut. You know that feeling right? Where you feel like you could be a hair model on a loreal advert... Well i'm yet to find that feeling.
Now that the weather is getting a lot colder it takes a big toll on my hair leaving it dry and dull so I wanted to find something that would spring it back to life again. I've known about the Happy Hair Days brand for quite a while now, and have brought hair products from them in the past, but they didn't do much for me if i'm honest (probably because I only brought it for the smell & not what it specializes in) However this time I thought what the heck as they were on a half price offer, plus I believe the Argan Oil products are some of their new stock, so I thought it'd give it a whizz.
I made my first subscription box purchase, wooo I feel like a real life blogger now haha
This box is from Pink Parcel, a company that caters for a women's monthly needs... now this could be tmi for some people as I'm aware some don't like discussing the big TOM, but this box is such a fab idea I had to share!
It's official Summer 2015 has ended. No more beach days, BBQ's and sunbathing, time to get used to more rain, Artic temperatures in the morning and darker evenings.
Some people may be happy about this, but others will be missing the sun a lot (i'm the latter); therefore i thought i'd give some of my tips on beating the summer blues!
Picture from OOTD post here
Err how is it May already? Where has the time gone..
Today i thought i'd attempt my first monthly favourites. These types of posts/videos are one of my favourite to read/watch, I love finding new things to try out that maybe i will love too. I strangely decided to start nealy half way through the year though but owell.
Beauty Favourites:
- Beginning with Rimmel's Wonder'full Mascara with Argan Oil i've been using this product constantly for the past few months now, and i very quickly fell in love with it. As i've mentioned before I love mascaras & over the years i've tried numerous amounts, but nothing beats this
so far.It gives my lashes extra length, fullness, and doesn't leave them clumped no matter how many layers you apply. With the extra benefit of the argan oil formula it leaves my lashes feeling smooth and conditioned when applied & removed. - Next is the ELF Refreshing Eye Roll On which I recently talked about in a previous post here. I'm not sure if this is still available as the company ELF have closed their website & i believe are distributing elsewhere which is a bummer. I only brought this as it was £1.98 at the time so i thought what the heck but came to realise it's actually pretty good. The formula includes aloe vera and cucumber which is so refreshing and really awakens the eye area. The fact it's a roll on too just makes it so much better and easier to apply knowing you haven't applied too much product & wasted it.
- Hidden at the back of this picture is Soap & Glory Hand Food with the weather in England being so unpredictable lately my hands were starting to suffer & beginning to dry up. I went hunting through my drawers & came across this hand cream which i got at Christmas, I smothered it on and it worked miracles. My hands were smooth and moisturised for the rest of the day, and the smell is divine which Soap & Glory are pros at doing.
- The most recent purchase is the Garnier Moisture Match Lotion with SPF20. I ummed and ahhd over buying this for about a week as I was addicted to my current moisturiser from The Body Shop. But seeing that i was on a tight budget and this was a fraction of the price I just brought it hoping for the best. Now i still love my Body Shop moisturiser and will most probably go back to it but if your on a budget this stuff is pretty darn good. A little goes a long way and it leaves my skin glowing as well as making an excellent primer.
- Lastly is this ELF bronzer. I'm still adventuring out of my simple makeup comfort zone so bare with, but who knew how great bronzer's are!? I don't use the brush provided, instead i use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, and i only have to dab gently onto the product for a good amount to be distributed onto the brush. It's easy to blend and leaves a nice glowing colour.
Non Beauty Favourites:
It's all looking very healthy... I'm on a big fitness hype at the moment with summer & festival season approaching I felt now was the time to really knuckle down.
- Therefore I brought my smoothie maker back out, i used to be obsessed with making smoothies, literally 2/3 a day easy and I feel maybe i might fall back into the obsession. The Breville Blend Active is super simple to use and takes less than an hour to whip something up!
- To go along with that is Charlotte Crosby's 3 Minute Belly Blitz DVD. Theres been a massive hype around this DVD so I thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and give it a whirl. I've only used it a couple times so far but my god is it hard let's hope for good results!
- Next are the sunglasses which i picked up from a stall in Brighton, now my head manages to be too small for pretty much every pair of sunglasses until now. These actually fit do you realise how excited I was to find this out I had to get them, the lenses are pretty funky too with a metallic pinky gold shine to them. Only a fiver too bargain.
- Lastly is Yankee Candle air fresheners.... oh wow. I put a new one of these in my car the other day and it smells divine i can't explain. They're so strong & last for ages thank you Yankee Candle.
--
Wow I ramble. Hope you enjoyed seeing what i loved over the past month, have any of you tried the DVD how is it for you?

A few weeks back one of my fav bloggers, (emsheldon) wrote a review about a lash serum she recently purchased. She had a lot of positive comments on it, and even provided a discount code so i was very intrigued. Even more so because I love anything that will extend my eyelashes & make them look fuller. You should see my collection of mascaras
Therefore I knew i had to try it out, especially seeing as a I was able to purchase it cheaper i couldn't miss the opportunity! Unfortunately it did take well over 3 weeks to arrive even though the delivery was set to 2-3 working days, not a great start.
The serum is produced and manufactured in the UK and uses an ingredient named Capixyl, which is proven to increase the growth and thickness of your natural lashes as well as conditioning the follicles at the same time. It's a clear gel like consistency, and has no fragrance.
The packaging is all so delicate & feminine which fits right in with the manufacturers brand name 'fine feather'. The serum itself is in just a small tube, which i was slightly hesitant about as i thought it would run out quickly, but a little goes a long, long way.
It's a simple process by gliding the serum over the upper eyelid at the root of the lashes daily, as if you're applying a gel eyeliner. That's literally it. I like to apply mine in the morning after i wash my face & just before makeup.
It states that it takes up to 4-6 weeks before you start seeing results. Now i've been using mine for 6 weeks now and honestly haven't seen any dramatic results, my lashes do feel slightly more conditioned but that's about it. My lashes are on the longer side anyway but not so thick, so that's what i was aiming to achieve from this.
I'm slightly disappointed in the outcome as i have read great things about this, but I will carry on using it hoping for a mircale...
Want to give it a try?

I've found that having something to look forward too, is always a great way of keeping yourself happy & positive.
Therefore I always make sure I'm doing something special/different atleast every other month and planning ahead is great fun. I'm a bit of a crazy organisation freak, and love writing lists & making notes, so when it comes to planning i'm all over it like a rash. This summer is no exception as I already have a couple things planned, no official set dates for all them yet however (which drives me slightly insane).
First on my list is:
George's birthday surprise getaway.
I've booked for me and George to go away for a couple nights to celebrate his birthday in May, fingers crossed the weathers on my side! I'd love to tell you where it is but G reads my posts so I can't give anything away. (But i'll be sure to post about it after)
When it comes to spoiling people I go all out. I love seeing their reactions, and letting them know how special they are to me. However, I hate them returning the favour as i'd literally be happy with the smallest sentimental thing, just knowing that person thought about me is enough.
GLASTONBURY!
This will be my first proper festival experience and to say i'm excited is an understatement. We have a bit of an army going (45 people to be exact) which i think is brilliant as you'd never lose someone. We're making it into a week long event, how i'm going to survive without showering for a week is beyond me but atleast i won't be the only one. PLUS the line up this year is immense!

Holiday to Malta?
One of my good friends Laura & myself are currently in the midst of planning a summer holiday to Malta for a week. Her Grandparents live out there so we'd only have to pay for flights, what a bargain that will be! The only reason we haven't booked anything yet thought is because of our work situation & finding time off together. Other than that, hello sun, sea and sand! I need a tan.
Reunited with the best ones.
Two of my favourite people in the world will be back home in August! One of them is braving working a season out in Malia whilst the other is slaving away at Uni. However once August arrives we will be reunited as a trio again! Love them to bits.
21?!?!?!
Christ. I'm turning 21 in August too, i feel so old. Like i said before i hate a big fuss so i'm begging everyone not to do a lot for me. But 21..... super scary yet exciting. Maybe i should grow up a bit now? Nah.
That's it for now! But I will definitely have to add to this list i love summer.
Get Planning!!!

Way back at the beginning of March i had a bit of a girly spark, and really wanted to change my make-up up a bit. Now i wish i could say i was good at makeup, but honestly i'm pretty basic, and opt for the same 3 things everyday, and even then it's not the best outcome. For this i didn't see the point of splashing out on high end products, but to experiment with the more affordable stuff first.
I'd heard about the company 'ELF' from watching 'voussontbeauetbelle' YouTube where she constantly raves about it for it's quality yet affordable price. So i thought i'd check it out where, amazingly they were closing down so they had a mahuuusive sale on! Great timing?!
Therefore, yes i went spending mad.
{L-R}

Ah so i went a way out of my comfort zone here as i never wear lip products, but seeing as they were so cheap whats the harm in trying?! (really i just want to look like Kylie Jenner)
{L-R}
Lip Balm Tint in Grapefruit;£2.95- Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in Flirty & Girly; £1.18- JLGS in Tiki Torches; 89p- JLGS in Coco Loco; £1.18- JLGS in Sangria Starters;89p- Lip Balm Tint in Nude;£1.48- Conditioning Lip Balm with SPF in Blissful Berry;£2.77- CLB in Mellow Melon;£2.77
{L-R}
Zit Zapping Concealer;£1.48- Eyelash Curler;78p- Bronzer;£1.75- Eye Roll On Refresh; £1.98
I'm so glad my girly spark came to me when it did i mean look at them bargains. Who knows maybe i could do a makeup look post...... highly doubtful.
