I love reading and answering tag questions, probably because i'm a little bit nosey to be honest. I have a bit of time before work, so i thought i'd find a common tag online and answer it for you.
Motel Rocks had another sale and I found some awesome printed trousers (my clothing obsession) for just £10!!!
Trousers: Motel Rocks- £10
Crop Top: Primark- £2
Denim Shirt: TkMaxx- £15
Shoes: Primark- £4
Bag: H&M
Brown Belt
Motel Rocks had a 70% off sale a couple weeks ago and obviously I had to look as firstly; i'm a sucker for a good bargain, secondly because I have a huge love for Motel Rocks but my bank balance doesn't. Unfortunately I was a little late to the sale & the most popular items had sold out in my size but I managed to bag a couple bargains!
The first things I came across were two bralet style bikini tops both for £12 (originally £22) I had to get these as soon as i saw them basically because they have yellow flowers on them, which are my two favourite things. I plan on wearing these under loose vests/t shirts at Glastonbury which i will be attending this year, lets pray for nice weather!
My final purchase was the black crop top which was also £12 (origanlly £22). The back of this top was what really caught my eye as it's a cut out design. Thinking of pairing this with a pair of high waisted black jeans.
Black is best.
Here's what the back looks like, how cool and different is that!
(Jeans Topshop)
Definitely going to get a lot of wear out of these items this summer, please do more sales Motel Rocks :)

omg.
ok.
I came up with an idea to do an Easter food themed post because, Easter's approaching and well i like food basically. So i searched around and this picture popped up of a chocolate bird nest cake, and it looked deeeeelish, i had to try it! Now i'm going to be honest here and tell you that i'm a poor excuse for a woman as i can't cook to save my life, for example, I manage to burn pasta... (yes i just admitted that) SO obviously I needed some help, and luckily George is an awesome cook so he helped. Well he had no choice in the matter really.
(who wears the trousers in the relationship...)
So we popped off to the supermarket to pick up the ingredients
Caution: People on diets look away now (im sorry)
We have:
2 packets of Wright's Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix (to make 2 separate cakes)
Vegetable oil (4tbsp per cake packet)
150ml Double Cream
Betty Crocker Buttercream Style Icing
Mini eggs
4 Flakes
We cheated a little bit and brought ready made cake mix but obviously you can make your cake which ever way you prefer. The packet mix was highly recommended to us though so we thought we'd give it a try, plus it meant buying less ingredients haha.
**Therefore the cake baking part was pretty simple so then came the cream filling, which again was surprisingly simple. All we did was just whisk the double cream till it thickened and smoothed it over the top of one of the cakes before then putting the other cake on top. From here we cut a circle in the middle of the top cake about an inch deep, then covered the entire thing in icing including the hole.
Now's the fun part, break up the flake into little pieces and basically throw it onto the cake (you don't want it neat as it's supposed to resemble a nest). Finally fill the hole with as mini easter eggs as you desire, and decorate however you like.**
(How are cute are those chicks though i got them from Sainburys)
I was a bit apprehensive about tasting it but it tastes oh so good SO MUCH CHOCOLATEY GOODNESS.
Now Enjoy!

But i'm fully aware not everyone will be doing so, therefore I raided my wardrobe and put together what would have been my go to outfits whether I was going out for a posh meal, or even if I was hitting the town with my girlfriends.
Black & white two layered feather print playsuit with open back;
Motel Rocks- £45
Wore this on New Years & i'm in love with it, need to find an excuse to wear it again!
I know Motel Rocks can be a little on the pricier side but in my opinion it's definitely worth it, especially when you know you'll get a lot of wear out an item. PLUS you do get a £10 voucher when you sign up to their newsletter & they always have offers going on!
--------
Now if you're like me & are not always a fan of showing your legs off (either wear tights) OR do what I do and wear some funky trousers or a full length skirt
For example:
Black crop top- Missguided
Floral Maxi skirt with zip & slit detail- Miss Selfridge
Black crop top- Missguided
Patterned trousers- Missguided
haha i ran out of ways to pose at the end.
Black crop top- Missguided
Printed trousers- Missguided
Those trousers are only £8 at the moment what a bargain!!!!
So there we have it, me awkwardly attempting to look cool in my bedroom... Hope these ideas inspired you in some way. Maybe not for valentines but even for a date night or a night in town, whatever you're doing have a wonderful time and if you're lucky enough to have a valentine I hope you get spoilt rotten!
